Rokeby Museum offers visitors three exhibit experiences

New for 2024! Seeking Freedom: The Underground Railroad and the Legacy of an Abolitionist Family is an ongoing exhibition on the second floor of the Education Center.

A new, temporary exhibit is crafted each year to explore some aspect of the site’s history and to showcase part of the Museum’s rich and diverse collection. Seasonal exhibits are mounted in the Jane Williamson Gallery on the first floor.

Most of the Museum’s collection is on permanent “exhibit” in the Historic Robinson Home. Its seven rooms are densely furnished with furniture, textiles, lighting, books, photographs, and art — and all owned by the Robinsons.

Volunteers run the guided tours at Rokeby. After a year of preservation work, the Historic Robinson Home is once again open by guided tour only. Guided tours of the historic home and outbuildings are available Wednesday–Monday (no tours on Tuesday), with tours at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Tours last approximately one hour.

Note: Admission is “pay what you can” on Tuesday afternoons from 1–5 pm.
