Today, at this critical moment in our nation’s history, I am especially grateful to supporters like you.  

Equity, empathy, and the historical record are being severely undermined. Museum funding cuts are widespread. Small, independent nonprofits like Rokeby are especially challenged. Our staff of three, paired with an extraordinary volunteer corps, faithfully preserve and interpret a nationally recognized Underground Railroad site for thousands of visitors each year. Now, we need your help to move forward.

What does Rokeby have to do with you? Everything!  

You love and support Rokeby because of the powerful Robinson family story, our historic buildings and beautiful setting, and our role as a center for social justice discussion and advocacy.

Working together this year with support from donors like you, Rokeby welcomed 700 schoolchildren on field trips and hosted capacity crowds for Reading Frederick Douglass and Juneteenth. We partnered with Audubon to support our bird population and celebrated Sheep & Wool Day and the Annual Pie Social with community members. With expert guidance, we improved our care for museum textiles and books. And we opened our trails to nature lovers year-round.
