The talk will be given by Clark Hinsdale III\, Rokeby board member and direct descendant of the Orvises\, who rediscovered their story while documenting his own family history. \n\n\n\nThrough artifacts\, letters\, and works of art passed down by the family\, some only recently discovered\, learn how John Orvis was inspired by the abolitionist fervor of his Quaker community to join the fight against slavery.
